A number of Celtic stars are expected to depart Parkhead over the course of the summer as the club are facing a massive squad overhaul and might need to bring in several new faces in the coming months.
One of the players who could be on his way out is Ryan Christie. The Scotland international’s current contract is believed to be running out in the middle of the current campaign and as a result, it would not be surprising to see him leave this summer itself. Otherwise, he will become a free agent soon.
As reported by The Scottish Sun, Christie is set to receive a mega offer from Al-Hilal, who are targeting him to replace Sebastian Giovinco. The team competes in the Saudi Professional League.
Now, there is no doubting that although he did not have a great 2020/21 campaign, Christie has been a massive part of the first-team squad in recent years and will need to be replaced if he was to leave.

Christie could be about to leave Celtic soon
Christie has less than a year left on his current deal with the Hoops. Thus, he is expected to depart sooner or later.
Now, it remains to be seen where he ultimately ends up. It does look like he is wanted by Leonardo Jardim at Al-Hilal and the link is certainly interesting. They are one of the most successful clubs in Asia and won the AFC Champions League in 2019.
Christie has been linked with a number of other clubs in recent times as well. On the other hand, the Hoops will need to sign another playmaker when or if Christie ends up departing. He has been an important member of this team for a while now. According to stats from Transfermarkt, Christie has scored 40 goals and provided 41 assists through the course of his Celtic career, which is very impressive considering he has been a regular for the Hoops for only the past three seasons.
