It is safe to say that Celtic will have to sign a number of players over the course of the next few months if they are to rebuild their squad and challenge for the Premiership title next season.

Till now though, the club have only managed to bring in youngsters. Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide have come in from Sheffield Wednesday this summer. And it looks like the club are set to sign another youngster in the form of Bosun Lawal.

Lawal is a very highly-rated youngster who has come through the Watford youth system but looks set to join Celtic.

As tweeted out by journalist Adam Leventhal, the Hoops have agreed a three year deal with Lawal:

Lawal was expected to fly to Scotland today. And as reported by Celts Are Here, he has been pictured heading into Celtic Park with his representatives.

When it comes to the long-term, Lawal could prove to be a fantastic signing for the Hoops and he is certainly an exciting addition. But the 18-year-old cannot be expected to come in and immediately make his mark in the first-team this season.

It is some experienced and proven players that the club need to sign soon. We are quickly approaching the Champions League qualifiers and there are a number of positions in the squad that need to be filled.

They have made a bright start under Ange Postecoglou in pre-season, winning both their games till now. But the new manager will need all the help that he can get in order to turn things around this season, after the club had finished 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership in the previous campaign and failed to win a single piece of silverware after years.

Hopefully, they are able to sign some players in the near future who can come in and make an immediate impact in the first-team. They have been linked with quite a few exciting names in recent times but are yet to get deals for any of them over the line.
