There are a number of positions in the Celtic squad that need strengthening over the course of the summer. And signing a new winger or two might very well be near the top of Ange Postecoglou’s wish list.

At this point of time, James Forrest, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele are the only recognised wingers at the club. Among them, Forrest and Johnston spent the majority of the previous campaign on the sidelines due to injuries. On the other hand, despite his unquestionable talent, Dembele does not have a lot of experience at the first team level.

Thus, Postecoglou could certainly do with a few more options in the wide areas. And it looks like the Hoops are closing in on the signing of a very highly-rated right winger in the form of Liel Abada.

As reported by One (via Daily Record), Abada is ready to fly to Glasgow to seal a £3.4 million (€4 million) move. He looks set to sign a four-year contract with Celtic.

Abada could be a brilliant signing for Celtic

At just 19 years of age, it is safe to say that Abada is expected to improve as a player moving forward. He is already very good though. A number of clubs are believed to be interested in the winger, who has already represented the Israel national team.

As reported by Transfermarkt, Abada scored 13 goals and provided 4 assists last season playing for Maccabi Petah Tikva. And he is also very versatile, capable of playing as a centre-forward if the situation calls for it.

Thus, it is not hard to see why the Hoops would be interested in signing the youngster. Now, let’s hope that he can come in and make his mark at Parkhead quickly. The club have already signed a couple of youngsters this summer in the form of Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide. Now though, they might need to bring in some experience as well.
