One of the biggest worries for Celtic last season was their finishing in front of goal. There were a number of times when they failed to put away their chances, resulting in either draws or defeats in games which they should have won. Thus, the club need to sign players this summer who can find the back of the net on a consistent basis.
One player that the Hoops have been linked with for a while is Aaron Boupendza. The Gabon international had a brilliant season in Turkey. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he scored 22 goals for Hatayspor last season. And as a result, he ended up finishing as the highest scorer in the Turkish Super Lig.
Naturally, he drew the interest of clubs from around Europe and it looked like a move to Fenerbahce might be in his future. But now, it looks like that might not be the case.
As reported by Aksam (via 67 Hail Hail), Fenerbahce could not reach an agreement with Hatayspor for Boupendza, as they were looking for a €5 million transfer fee as well as two players.

Should Celtic make a move for Boupendza?
Boupendza could certainly be a good signing for the Hoops at this point of time. He is a very versatile player, capable of playing on both wings as well as up top.
It is perhaps as a left winger with the freedom to roam inside and up the pitch, that he performs at his best. He is not the type of winger who will stay wide the entire game but instead someone who will drift in and try to find the back of the net himself.
Celtic could certainly do with options both up top and in the wide areas right now. But if Odsonne Edouard remains at the club for the season, it feels unlikely that they will make a move for Boupendza as well.
