Celtic must make move for player Manchester City just released
Manchester City have released a number of players this summer, with their first-team chances for next season appearing limited. And a few of them could certainly interest Celtic, who are facing a massive squad overhaul.
One such player is Felix Nmecha. As reported by Manchester Evening News (via 67 Hail Hail), he was released earlier in the week by Manchester City.
The 20-year-old has been impressive at the youth level. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 27 goals and provided 14 assists in 86 appearances across multiple youth levels for Manchester City. And he thrives in a free-roaming midfield role. He has even made 3 senior appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side, providing an assist in the Champions League.
Nmecha also possess good leadership qualities and has captained Manchester City at the youth level before. Thus, he could be an overall solid signing for the Hoops, especially since he is available as a free agent.

Celtic should try to sign Nmecha
Nmecha’s release is confusing to be honest as he was in great form for the under-23 side last season and even got some minutes for the senior team as well.
Ange Postecoglou should already be aware of Nmecha’s qualities, from the manager’s time at Yokohama F. Marinos, who are a part of the City Football Group.
Manchester City currently have one of the best youth development systems in all of football. And someone like Nmecha could be a brilliant signing for the Hoops. He has all the tools to succeed at the senior level.
Of course, there is expected to be a lot of interest in his signature. He was one of the most highly-rated young players in the Premier League youth level for quite some time. But if the Hoops are able to bring him to Parkhead, it might turn out to be a brilliant signing for them for both the short and the long-term.
