Has Leigh Griffiths dropped Celtic exit hint on social media?

A number of players are expected to depart Parkhead over the course of the next few months as Celtic might need a massive squad overhaul this summer. Could Leigh Griffiths be one of those players?

His contract is believed to be up at the end of June and the option to extend it by a year does not appear to have been taken up yet. And has the striker just dropped a hint that he could be on his way out?

As reported by Glasgow Live, Griffiths has removed any mention of Celtic from the bios on both his Twitter and Instagram this afternoon.

Recent rumours were suggesting that things were looking positive with regards to his future at Parkhead after talks with Ange Postecoglou. But now, one has to question whether he could be on his way out of the club this summer.

Does Griffiths have a future at Celtic?

Griffiths has not been at the top of his game for quite some time now. It was in the second half of the 2019/20 campaign that he showed that he was still a brilliant goalscorer when on form. But he has not managed to showed that kind of form on a consistent basis for quite some time now.

As a result, it is very possible that the Scottish striker could be on his way out of Parkhead this summer. But considering the lack of depth up front at the moment, Postecoglou might try to keep him at the club as well.

Whatever happens, Postecoglou will know either way that signing more strikers in this summer transfer window is critical for success. Additions are needed up front even if Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard could both still end up staying at the club. But things could get much more difficult if one or both of them ended up leaving.
