The Celtic team is expected to look very different come next season, with many players appearing set to depart Parkhead and while a number of new faces could arrive in order to replace them.

With Ange Postecoglou now in Glasgow, the club’s rebuilding plans could pick up pace. And one player who has already been linked with a summer exit is Olivier Ntcham.

The French midfielder spent the second half of last season on loan at Marseille but failed to find his feet there. And recent rumours had emerged that he could be available this summer as a free agent, as the Hoops might not take the option to extend his current deal by a year. AEK Athens were looking like the favourites for his signature but now it looks like he won’t be available on a free transfer after all.

Could Ntcham have a future at Celtic?

A couple of years ago, Ntcham was one of the most highly-rated players at Parkhead. The talent has never been the question with him and his technical abilities are brilliant. At one point, he was even rated at around £20 million by the club.

It would be safe to say that things have changed since then. It does not look like Ntcham is in the Hoops’ first-team picture at the moment and could very well be on his way out of the club this summer.

But with a new manager at the club now, could there be an opportunity for him to make a fresh start? That is certainly a possibility and only time will tell whether it will happen or not.
