This summer promises to be one filled with change for Celtic. Ange Postecoglou has already been appointed as the new manager of the club and there are set to be changes behind the scenes as well.

The next step will be to bring in new players in the summer transfer window, so that the Hoops can challenge the Rangers for the Premiership title next season. The fact that a number of players could be headed out of Parkhead means that one should expect quite a few new arrivals at the club this summer.

There are multiple areas of the squad that might need reinforcements in the near future. And it looks like the club are already making progress in that regard.

The club’s new manager is hoping that some announcements about new signings will be made very, very soon. As reported by the Daily Record, Postecoglou said:

"“The club’s working hard and I’m trying to push them as hard as I can.“We hope to make some announcements very, very soon.”"

Celtic’s transfer plans could pick up pace soon

With Postecoglou now in Glasgow, it is very possible that the club’s transfer plans could now start to pick up pace.

Over the past few days, the club has been linked with a number of players in a number of different positions, and it would not be surprising if a few signings are completed soon.

With the new season approaching quickly, the Hoops might have no other choice but to bring in new players in the near future. The Champions League qualification stages are not too far away and the club should be desperate to make it to the group stage of Europe’s elite competition this time around, after missing out in the previous three seasons.

Whatever may be the case, Postecoglou will have a huge task on his hands. Not only does he have to steady the ship after a disappointing season. But he will also be expected to start delivering results with a team that could possibly have a number of players in their first season of Scottish football.
