Celtic make €3.5 million offer for rising Scottish star
With the appointment of Ange Postecoglou over the line, now Celtic must focus on rebuilding the squad in the transfer window. After a disappointing campaign and with a number of players expected to depart Parkhead in the summer, the Hoops might need to make quite a few signings over the course of the next few months.
There are a number of positions in the squad that might need reinforcements. One of them is left-back.
Since Kieran Tierney left in order to join Arsenal, the club have not managed to find a regular starter at left-back. In the 2019/20 season, Boli Bolingoli, Greg Taylor and Jonny Hayes all got their runs in the position. Last season, it was a similar case with Taylor and Diego Laxalt, who was on a season-long loan from AC Milan. None of them managed to nail down a spot in the first-team though.
Thus, the Hoops might still be on the lookout for a long-term left-back. And it looks like they have made a €3.5 million offer for Aaron Hickey. Journalist Nicolo Schira tweeted out:

Would Hickey be a good signing for Celtic?
Hickey was with the Celtic youth sides but ended up moving to Hearts before ever making a senior appearance for the Hoops. It is there that he broke into first-team football and quickly made a name for himself.
The Glasgow giants were believed to be interested in bringing him back last summer as well. But ultimately, he ended up joining Bologna instead.
There he had a decent campaign as Bologna finished 12th in the Serie A table. While his season was cut short due to injury, Hickey was still able to make 12 appearances in all competitions in his debut season for the Italian side, according to stats from Transfermarkt.
That is quite good for a player who just turned 19 years of age this month. And it is clear that he has a lot of potential going forward. Now, it remains to be seen whether the Hoops can sign him this summer.
