Odsonne Edouard’s Celtic future is up in the air at the moment. The striker is being linked with a move away from Parkhead this summer, as he has been for the past several transfer windows. But there is still a possibility that he could remain at the club beyond this summer.
There is no doubt that at the top of his game, Edouard is most probably the best player at the club right now. In fact, he has been the Hoops’ talisman for quite a few seasons now.
He did not look at his best last season. But even then, he was able to cross the 20-goal mark. And with just a year left on his current deal, it looks like he could be on his way out of the club in the summer transfer window.
It looks like talks regarding a possible move to Leicester City have broken down recently though. There have also been suggestions that as a result, he could decide to remain at Parkhead and see out his contract, which runs out next summer. Neil Lennon has revealed though that the Frenchman had made it clear at the start of last season that he saw his future somewhere else. While speaking with talkSPORT and as reported by Daily Record, the former Celtic manager said:
"“Celtic will do very well to keep his services for next year.“He made it clear at the start of last season that he saw his future somewhere else, but we will see.”"

Will Edouard remain at Celtic next season?
It goes without saying that Edouard is a fantastic player at the top of his game and if he was to leave, the club would have a tough time finding a replacement for him. But even then, at this point of time, it might make more sense for the club to see him seal a transfer away rather than remain at Parkhead for another season.
This is because of the fact that he only has a year left on his current deal. On the other hand, the Hoops are facing a massive summer rebuild of their squad. Thus, the transfer fee that they would receive for Edouard could go a long way in bringing in new players to the club.
While a move to Leicester City appears to be off the table right now, several other clubs have been linked with Edouard in recent months. And it remains to be seen whether they try to make a move happen.
