A number of players are expected to depart Celtic over the course of the summer transfer window. This includes first-team stars like Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer and Ryan Christie, all of whom have one year or less remaining on their current deals with the club.
But it looks like it is not only the first-team stars who are wanted by clubs around Europe. As reported by Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have made a transfer bid for Matthew Anderson.
The 17-year-old is yet to make his first-team debut for the Hoops and current plays for the youth side. The left-back is very highly-rated though and many believe that he is even capable of following in the footsteps of Kieran Tierney.
As a result, it goes without saying that the youngster has a lot of potential and it is not a surprise that Leeds United want to sign him. But the Hoops should try their best to keep him at the club, because if Anderson really becomes as good as Tierney, he will be a first-team regular for years to come.

Celtic must keep Anderson despite Leeds United transfer bid
Celtic have not been able to keep hold of some of their best youngsters in recent years, many of whom have ended up joining European giants like Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester City. And this is an area that the club certainly need to improve in.
In the past few years, not too many youngsters have managed to make the jump from the youth sides to the first-team at Parkhead. Also, the fact that the club have not qualified for the UEFA Champions League in three straight years might be a factor when it comes to why some youngsters have decided to leave in the recent past.
Whatever maybe the case, bringing through youth players is an important part when it comes to the development of any football club. And hopefully, Anderson will remain at Celtic for the foreseeable future.
