Marian Shved is a player whose talent has never been in question. But it has looked like he never quite managed to settle down at Celtic, so that he could showcase that talent.
After only making a few appearances for the Hoops during his first season at Parkhead, he was sent out on loan to KV Mechelen the following campaign. There also, he did not make a good start but managed to grow into things as the season progressed.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, Shved scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in 24 appearances for KV Mechelen. He was on the pitch for 1058 minutes, meaning he had a goal contribution every 132 minutes or so. That is quite impressive for a winger.
Thus, many Celtic fans would want to see him get a chance to prove himself at Parkhead. And considering the lack of options on the wings for the Hoops at this point of time, it might not be a bad idea at all to keep him at the club next season. But as reported by GVA (via Daily Record), KV Mechelen want to take him on loan for another year.

Celtic should try to keep Shved at Parkhead next season
There is a lack of depth on the wings for Celtic right now. James Forrest, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele are the only recognised wingers in the squad.
Two of them have spent a large portion of the previous season on the sidelines due to injuries. On the other hand, Dembele does not have a lot of experience at the senior level. Thus, someone like Shved could certainly play an important role in the team if he manages to find his feet in Scottish football.
Another reason that the club should keep him is the fact that Shved’s contract runs out in the summer of 2023. Thus, spending another season out on loan would mean that he will only have a year left on his deal by the time he returns.
