A number of players are expected to leave Celtic over the course of the next few months as the club face a massive summer overhaul of their squad. This could include first-team stars like Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer, both of whom have one year left on their respective contracts with the club.

One player who has not been in the first-team picture for quite some time though is Olivier Ntcham. Despite having all the potential in the world, the Frenchman has not impressed in recent times.

Ntcham appears to be nearing a Celtic exit

There was a time when Ntcham was one of the most highly-rated players in the Celtic squad and rated at around £20 million. It is safe to say that things have not gone as expected since then.

There is some confusing surrounding the situation. And there is the possibility that he could be on his way out of the club this summer on a free transfer.

As reported by GOAL, the Hoops had rejected an offer of around £13 million for Ntcham from FC Porto back in the summer of 2018. And back then, not many would have predicted that he would be on the verge of a free transfer to AEK Athens just a few years later. But that’s just football and how things turn out some times.

The focus of the club should now be on rebuilding the squad and providing Ange Postecoglou a group of players who can challenge the Rangers for the Premiership title next season.
