It is clear that Celtic will need to make a couple of big signings over the course of the next few months if they are to challenge the Rangers for the Premiership title in the upcoming season.

A number of first-team stars, including the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer, are expected to leave in the summer. And as a result, the club might very well need to bring in players who can come in and immediately make an impact in the first-team in order to replace them.

Thus, the club might need to find the right balance between youth and experience in the summer when it comes to their transfer moves. And Andre Ayew, who is a set to be a free agent, can prove to be a brilliant option.

As reported by Ghana Soccer Net, Ayew is on the radar of Celtic. The Hoops had been linked with the player back during the time Brendan Rodgers was their manager. And it looks like they are interested in signing him once again.

Ayew can be a great signing for Celtic

Ayew can prove to be a brilliant signing for the Hoops for a variety of reasons. Firstly, the Ghana international is capable of playing all across the frontline. And the club does need depth on both the wings and up front.

Secondly, he has scored 35 goals and provided 11 assists over the course of the past two seasons while playing for Swansea City according to stats from Transfermarkt.

Also, Ayew has the world of experience, having represented the Ghana national team over 90 times till now and has also played for clubs like Marseille, Swansea City, West Ham United, Fenerbahce and Lorient through the course of his career.

If Celtic are to find success in the upcoming transitional phase, they will need some experience in the side. And the fact that Ayew will be a free agent this summer could make him the perfect signing.
