Celtic must make transfer move for brilliant €4.3 million AS Monaco winger
Celtic must be looking to add depth to their ranks on the wings over the coming transfer window. At this point of time, they only have James Forrest, Mikey Johnston and Karamoko Dembele as the options available to them, who are capable of playing there.
It is also worth pointing out that both Forrest and Johnston spent the majority of the previous season on the sidelines due to their respective injuries. On the other hand, Dembele is yet to get a run of games in the first-team.
Thus, if the Hoops are to challenge for the Premiership title in the upcoming season, they will need more options there. And one player that they should definitely consider making a move for is AS Monaco’s Henry Onyekuru.
Onyekuru was at Everton in the past but never managed to find his feet there. And he has not had a much better time at AS Monaco either, having made 8 appearances for them according to stats from Transfermarkt, since joining the Ligue 1 side back in 2019. As a result, it looks like he might be on the move soon and Celtic should try to bring him to Parkhead.

Celtic must make move for Onyekuru
Onyekuru might have had tough spells at Everton and AS Monaco, but on the other hand, he has had brilliant spells at other places.
He scored 30 goals and provided 11 assists in 60 appearances for Belgian side KAS Eupen, and has had good loan spells at Anderlecht – scoring 10 goals in 28 appearances – and Galatasaray – scoring 22 goals and providing 12 assists in 71 appearances – as per stats from Transfermarkt. Thus, it is clear that when on form, he can be absolutely brilliant.
As reported by Sabah (via Today), Galatasaray have started negotiations with AS Monaco for the player but do not want to shell out the €4.3 million transfer fee that the Ligue 1 side are looking for. This might be the Hoops’ opportunity to swoop in and get a deal done.
The Nigerian international is a great player on his day. And while signing him would come with a bit of a risk, it might very well be a risk worth taking considering his potential.
