Not many would have expected Eddie Howe’s move to Celtic collapse after the manager had been linked with the Parkhead job for months. But that is exactly what has happened and now, the Hoops are left searching for a new manager after chasing the former Bournemouth man for a long time.
The Glasgow giants have been linked with a number of managers over the past several months but with the Howe to Celtic saga dragging on for quite some time, a number of them have joined new clubs or are now closing in on moves elsewhere.
This will make the task even more difficult for the Hoops as the options will now be more limited than before and they also have much less time on their hands this time around. Thus, it will be very important to move swiftly and efficiently.
As reported by The Scotsman, Ange Postecoglou has emerged as the new favourite for the Parkhead job.

The Postecoglou to Celtic links are surprising
The Hoops will need to bring in a top manager over the course of the summer. This is one of the most important appointments in the club’s recent history with the Rangers sitting at the top of the Premiership and it is safe to say that it has not gotten to a good start after the Howe move collapsed.
While the club have been linked with a number of managers over the past several months, the name of Postecoglou had not cropped up often before today. And it is not hard to see why.
While the 55-year-old has enjoyed a long career in management, he has only managed in Europe once before, with Greek club Panachaiki. Other than them, he has managed sides like the the Australian national team, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory. Currently, he is the manager of J1 League side, Yokohama F. Marinos.
