Celtic are expected to sign a number of players in the upcoming summer transfer window with the club facing a major overhaul. But it won’t be easy to do that, especially in the current financial climate.

Thus, it is very possible that the club will have to depend on loan moves and free transfers along with permanent signings in order to build a squad that is capable of challenging for the Premiership title come next season.

One man who they have been linked with for quite some time now is Robbie Brady. And it looks they might have the perfect opportunity to bring him to Parkhead as he will be leaving Burnley this summer with his contract coming to an end as confirmed by the club’s official website.

In 2017, Brady moved to Burnley from Norwich City in what was a then club record signing for the Clarets. The transfer fee was believed to be one that could reach £13 million as per BBC.

Brady is believed to be on Celtic’s transfer radar

As reported by the Daily Record, Brady is on Celtic’s radar for a summer transfer swoop. The club have been linked with him in the past and it is not hard to see why they would want to make a move now considering that he is going to be a free agent in the summer.

While there is no question that Brady has been a big part of Sean Dyche’s team in the past, he has had his fair share of injury issues as well. He has never managed to make 20 Premier League appearances in a single season during his 4-and-a-half year stint at Burnley. And that is something that the Hoops must consider before making a move.

There appears to be serious interest in the signature of Brady though as Southampton, Watford and Crystal Palace are also believed to be keen on the Republic of Ireland international.
