A number of first-team players are expected to head for the Parkhead exit door in the near future as Celtic look at a massive overhaul over the course of the summer transfer window.
While new faces look set to arrive in the summer, some familiar ones could very well be headed in the opposite direction. Odsonne Edouard appears to be one of those players who will be leaving the club soon with just a year left on his current deal.
The Frenchman has been the talisman for the Hoops for a long time now. In fact, despite not looking anywhere near his best this season, he crossed the 20-goal mark for the club, the third straight season that he has achieved the feat.
Naturally, his performances have caught the eye of clubs around Europe. Leicester City and Arsenal are two of the clubs who have been most heavily linked with him in the recent past. But as reported by The Sun, Brighton & Hove Albion have joined the race for Edouard.

Edouard looks set to leave Celtic this summer
With just a year left on his contract, it looks certain that Edouard will be leaving the club this summer. Otherwise, he will become a free agent next summer.
Of course, that is not something that the Hoops will want as Edouard’s transfer fee is expected to go a long way in their summer rebuilding process. Once rated at around £35 million, the Frenchman is expected to leave for a transfer fee in the range of £15 million to £20 million.
Of course, in that regard, the growing interest in the Frenchman is good news for Celtic. Leicester City and Arsenal have been linked with him for quite some time now. And now Brighton & Hove Albion also appear to have entered the race for his signature. It goes without saying that more the interest in the player, the higher the Hoops’ chances of getting a higher transfer fee.
