Eddie Howe has been linked with the Celtic job for months now. The earliest rumours arose last year when the Hoops were struggling for form and results under Neil Lennon. No change was made at that time though.

Ultimately, Lennon stepped down from his role in February. Since then, John Kennedy has served as the interim manager but a new manager is expected to be brought in in the near future with Howe remaining the favourite to get the role.

The saga has dragged on for quite a while though and naturally, doubts have been raised about whether he could end up elsewhere. Crystal Palace are a club who have been heavily linked with him in recent months.

It does not look like Howe will end up at Selhurst Park though. As reported by the Daily Record, he is not in for the job in south London. It looks like he has no interest in the Crystal Palace job which will be a boost for the Hoops.

Celtic take another step towards Howe appointment

Howe has been the favourite for the Celtic job for quite some time. And now, with him being linked with no other clubs at the moment, it does look like he will indeed be the man in the Parkhead dugout come next season.

Of course, things can change very quickly in football. But at this point of time, Howe is expected to be the next manager of the club, although the timing of the appointment still remains a mystery.

It is believed that he is looking to bring in a few coaches from Bournemouth as part of his backroom staff. But the club are currently competing in the Championship play-offs, and even have a 1-0 advantage over Brentford from the first-leg.

Thus, it looks like the Hoops might have to wait patiently for quite some more time before any appointment is made.
