Celtic finished their 2020/21 season with a 0-0 draw against Hibernian and for a campaign that had so many historical possibilities, it is safe to say that the club will be disappointed with how things have gone this time around.

The Hoops did not manage to win a single piece of silverware, which is very rare for the club these days. And as a result, it goes without saying that they will be eager to bounce back from this disappointment as quickly as possible.

That won’t be easy though as this summer promises to be one of change and next season could very possibly be a transitional one for the Hoops, with a number of players expected to leave and set to be replaced by new faces.

John Hartson has warned the club that they will need a massive response with a new manager, staff and players. He tweeted out:

Celtic will need to make massive changes over the course of the next few months

It goes without saying that the Hoops will need to make a lot of changes if they are win back the Scottish Premiership title from the Rangers. At the end of the day, Steven Gerrard’s side won it by 25 points and without losing a single league game, and it will be quite the task to overturn that gap in the space of a season.

It is not something that cannot be done. But for that to happen, the Hoops will need everything to go perfectly over the course of the next few months.

A new manager is expected to be brought in soon and whoever that is, will have to come in and immediately start to turn things around for the team with fresh ideas and strategies. The club will have to back him as well and the recruitment over the summer will be very important in this regard.
