Celtic’s brilliant performance against St. Johnstone must have left a lot of fans wondering about where this team had been all season.
The Hoops came out with a 4-0 victory from the game, which will be Scott Brown’s last as a Celtic player at Parkhead. The long time captain of the club is set to depart at the end of this campaign to take on a player-coach role at Aberdeen.
It was also good to see Brown being involved in the action as he set up Edouard’s goal, which made it 2-0 to the Hoops in the first-half itself. David Turnbull, Kristoffer Ajer and Karamoko Dembele were the other scorers on the day.
After a performance like that, you do have to wonder what things could have been like if the club had managed to show this on a consistent basis throughout the course of the campaign. What is done is done though. This game was all about Broony and it is good to see him take his last bow at Parkhead with a win.

Where do Celtic go from here?
It is clear that there is still a lot of talent in this squad. And although a number of these players might end up leaving in the summer, the base for a good team still exists.
Take Turnbull for example. He has been absolutely brilliant ever since coming into the side. Even against St. Johnstone, he scored a goal himself and assisted another.
He has been one of the standout players this season. Now, his focus should be on building on this and keep improving. At 21 years of age, he has all the time in the world to do that.
At the end of the day, the new manager coming in will have some good players to work with already. But it goes without saying that a lot will depend on the recruitment with regards to how next season turns out for the Hoops.
