A number of Celtic players are expected to leave the club in the summer as the Hoops face a major overhaul over the course of the next few months.
It has been a disappointing campaign for the club and they will surely be hoping to bounce back as soon as possible. But that task will become even more difficult due to the fact that the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Kristoffer Ajer are entering the final year of their current deals and look set to leave the club in the near future.
Of course, both of them are regular starters for the team and players that the club will need to replace. Interestingly, both of them have been linked with Leicester City in recent months as well, with the Premier League giants being managed by Brendan Rodgers. But while The Foxes seem interested in signing Edouard, it looks like they might not be in the race for Ajer.
As reported by Give Me Sport, Brendan Rodgers has called an end to Leicester City’s pursuit of Ajer.

Leicester City ending Ajer pursuit is bad news for Celtic
It is likely that Ajer will leave the club at the end of this season. As a result, Leicester City ending their pursuit of the defender is bad news for the Hoops.
The more competition for the player’s signature, the more likely that they would have received a big transfer fee for Ajer. In that regard, this will be a blow to the club’s hopes.
Other Premier League clubs like Newcastle United and Norwich City are still believed to be interested in Ajer though.
Losing someone like Ajer would be a blow for the Hoops in the first place, considering the fact that he has been one of the more consistent performers in the team despite featuring in a backline that has struggled throughout the course of this season.
