Odsonne Edouard is expected to leave Celtic this summer with his contract set to enter its final year at the end of the current campaign. And naturally, some of the biggest clubs in England have been linked with a move for the striker.

At times, the Frenchman has been the talisman for Celtic ever since joining the club. Despite looking out of form this season, he has crossed the 20-goal mark for the Hoops, the third straight season that he has done so.

There was believed to have been a lot of interest in Edouard in the past summer transfer window as well but the club decided to hold on to him with 10IAR on the line. While that has not worked out, at that moment it was certainly the right decision. Now, they have no other option but to allow him to leave though or he will become a free agent a year later.

The likes of Liverpool and Arsenal have been linked with him in the recent past. But as reported by TEAMtalk, Leicester City are confident that they will complete the signing of Edouard this summer. It looks like the Frenchman is almost certainly heading to King Power Stadium.

Leicester City have reportedly won the race for the Celtic star

Leicester City are one of the clubs who have been linked with Edouard for quite some time now and it is almost expected. The Premier League club are managed by Brendan Rodgers, who will know very well of the qualities of Edouard as a player.

Now, it remains to be seen what kind of a transfer fee Celtic will receive for the Frenchman. It was not too long ago that his transfer value was rated as high as £40 million by some but with just a year left on his contract at the end of this season, it is very unlikely he will command anywhere near that.

He has been the main striker for The Hoops for years now though and they will need to find a suitable replacement for him this summer as the club face a massive overhaul.
