Celtic must make transfer move for Eredivisie star in the summer
Celtic will need to strengthen in a number of areas over the course of the next few months if they are to challenge for the Premiership title next season, after losing the title race to the Rangers with six games to spare this time around.
One area that they might need immediate reinforcements in is on the right wing. The Hoops have not had much squad depth there for quite some time now. And they definitely felt this in the current season, with James Forrest spending significant time on the sidelines due to an injury.
As a result, the likes of Jeremie Frimpong and Ryan Christie were used there through the course of the campaign. But it is safe to say that the club must sign a right-winger this summer.
Someone who has been linked with the club in the recent past is FC Utrecht’s Gyrano Kerk. And while a transfer has failed to materialise in the past, the Hoops should consider making a move this summer, with the Dutch winger’s contract set to run out in the summer of 2023.

Kerk could be a brilliant signing for Celtic
Kerk is one of the most highly-rated players in the Eredivisie at this point of time and it is not hard to see why. He has been one of the most consistent performers in the Dutch league for a few years now.
He has impressive pace, strength and is adept at both scoring and setting up goals. He is also capable of playing as a centre-forward if the situation calls for it.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 9 goals and provided 7 assists in 33 appearances across all competitions this season. And while those numbers might not be as impressive as his 11 goals and 12 assists in 30 appearances last season, he remains one of the best players in the Eredivisie right now.
While it is not known what kind of transfer fee FC Utrecht would be looking for, Transfermarkt rate Kerk at £5.40 million and that could very well be a bargain for a player of his quality.
