Celtic should be looking to bring in a number of players this summer as the club face a massive overhaul. The likes of Odsonne Edouard , Kristoffer Ajer and Ryan Christie are all being linked with moves away from Parkhead. Long-time captain Scott Brown is also set to join Aberdeen in a player-coach role next season.
These are all first-team players that the Hoops will need to replace with new faces, not to mention that they must strengthen significantly after the season that they have had this time around.
One position that appears to be in need of immediate reinforcements is centre-back. The Hoops have had their fair share of worries at the back throughout the course of the season.
With Ajer being linked with a move away, Shane Duffy’s loan deal set to come to an end and Christopher Jullien expected to miss the start of the season with an injury, the club must sign a new centre-back when the transfer window opens. And one man they appear to have on their radar is Hajduk Split’s 19-year-old star Mario Vuskovic.

Can Celtic sign Vuskovic in the summer?
Earlier, Nicolo Schira had tweeted out that Celtic had had a €5 million bid rejected by Hajduk Split for Vuskovic. But now, it looks like they might not have to raise their bid by a lot if they are to secure the Croatian defender’s services.
As reported by Tuttomercatoweb (via Daily Record), Hajduk Split will let Vuskovic leave for a transfer fee of around €6 million plus a sell-on fee.
There appears to be some serious competition for his signature though with the likes of Napoli, Torino and Sassuolo also reportedly interested in the defender.
Thus, it would be seen as a major coup if the Hoops can get a deal for him over the line. It remains to be seen though whether they are willing to shell out €6 million for the 19-year-old.
