A number of Celtic stars are expected to leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window as the club face a massive overhaul over the course of the next several months.
Players like Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Kristoffer Ajer have all been linked with moves away from Parkhead. Long-time captain, Scott Brown, is also set to depart in order to sign with Aberdeen in a player-coach role.
Another player who was believed to be on his way out of the club is Olivier Ntcham. The Frenchman joined Marseille on loan in the winter transfer window. The Ligue 1 side also have an option to buy in the deal of £4.5 million as reported by Sky Sports.
But at this point of time, it is hard to see Marseille take up that option in the summer. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has only made 6 appearances for them, which have combined for 207 minutes of football. And he has failed to impress in the chances that he has been given, failing to register either a goal or an assist till now.

Ntcham looks set for Celtic return in the summer
After this loan spell, it would certainly be surprising to see Marseille activate the option to buy for Ntcham. Thus, it looks very likely that he will be back at Parkhead come the end of the season.
Of course, at that point of time, there will be only a year left on his current deal with the Hoops. Thus, the club might very well look to find him a new home in the summer on a permanent basis.
Celtic are also expected to sign a number of players in the upcoming transfer window. But in the current financial climate, transfer fees received from player departures should play a massive role in the club’s plans in that regard. Thus, a summer exit might still be on the cards for Ntcham even if Marseille do not sign him.
