Celtic are expected to undergo a massive overhaul over the course of the next few months. While a number of players are expected to leave, a number of new faces should arrive at Parkhead as well as their replacements. And we could be looking at a very different looking team come the start of next season.

One area which might need some major reinforcements is striker. Patryk Klimala has already left the club. Odsonne Edouard is expected to leave at the end of the season with just a year left on his contract at that point of time.

Leigh Griffiths has been linked with a move away as well in recent weeks while Albian Ajeti has not convinced that he can be the man to lead the line moving forward. Thus, it would not be surprising to see the club go after a striker in the summer, if not multiple.

As reported by TEAMtalk, Celtic are interested in BSC Young Boys striker Jean-Pierre Nsame. He is believed to be a target of the likes of West Ham United, Newcastle United and Southampton as well.

Nsame linked with a move to Celtic

The Cameroon international has been brilliant for BSC Young Boys over the years. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 25 goals for them this season. But he was even better last season, when he scored 41 goals for the Swiss club.

Thus, it is clear that Nsame is a great goalscorer and could add a lot to this squad if they can bring him in. At 27 years of age, he is also in the prime of his career right now.

It remains to be seen if the Hoops can get a deal done for the striker considering the interest in him from Premier League clubs as well. But his record does suggest that he could prove to be a brilliant signing for the Glasgow giants if they are able to pull it off.
