Celtic are believed to be looking to bring in a new manager over the course of the next few months as they aim to turn things around and return to challenging for titles next season after going through an unexpected and disappointing trophyless 2020/21 campaign.
At this point of time, Eddie Howe appears to be the frontrunner to be the club’s next manager. But some doubts have been raised around the move over the last few weeks.
At one point, it was believed that the appointment of Howe was set to be announced within a week. Many weeks have come and gone since then but no appointment has been made yet. And with Howe being linked with multiple Premier League sides as well, naturally fears have been raised about whether he could end up taking a different job.
It is believed that if Howe was to arrive at Parkhead, he would be looking to bring in some of his own backroom stuff as well. But a lot can depend on Bournemouth’s push for Premier League promotion. A report in The Scottish Sun says:
"BOURNEMOUTH’S promotion push could dash Celtic’s hopes of landing Eddie Howe as boss. The Hoops’ No 1 target wants to take some of his old backroom staff with him if he accepts the job — but may be priced out of it.Coaches Stephen Purches and Stephen Weatherstone are already on good contracts and will pick up rises if they make it back to the Premier League.Bournemouth technical director Richard Hughes has also been earmarked for a crucial role behind the scenes. But promotion will make them more expensive for Celtic both in wages and possible compensation deals with the Cherries.Howe and Celtic may have to wait until after the play-off final on May 29 to see if Bournemouth are promoted or not."

Could Howe’s Celtic move depend on Bournemouth promotion?
It is safe to say that Howe is one of the most highly-rated free agent managers in world football right now. In fact, many have even touted him to become a future manager of the England national team. Thus, it is not hard to see why multiple Premier League clubs are being linked with him.
As a result, if Celtic are able to appoint him as the club’s next manager, it would be seen as a major coup on the part of the Hoops. But will that happen? That remains to be seen.
Naturally, a manager of his quality and reputation would want to bring some of his own backroom staff. Of course, that could very well depend on the fate of the English Championship as Bournemouth are set to compete in the play-offs.
One more question is, how long are Celtic willing to wait for Howe?
