There was a time when David Moyes was believed to be a Celtic managerial target. Right now, he is likely to be more interested in signing one of the club’s players though.
A number of fans weren’t keen previously on having Moyes as the club’s manager. His current success in his second spell at West Ham United may have them thinking differently.
Moyes has the Hammers flying high in the English Premier League right now. They may have lost at the weekend to Newcastle United but are still in 4th place, just ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.
While Moyes will be focussed on securing a European place, he’ll definitely be looking already to strengthen for the upcoming season. And a striker might definitely be on his summer wishlist as the club have struggled for consistency up front.

Could Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard be that man?
As reported by Football Insider, West Ham United are now in pole position to sign Edouard with Leicester City having second thoughts about a deal this summer.
Edouard has not been at the top of his game this season and his performance in the Glasgow Derby this weekend did not help matters either. There appears to be a growing feeling that he will be on his way out this summer, and the fans will be hoping his transfer value has not taken a hit.
Despite not being in his best form, Edouard has still netted 20 goals for the Hoops this season. And he has turned in great displays for France U21s, breaking their goalscoring record. It is believed that Celtic will be looking for a transfer fee of around €20 million for the striker but with just a year left on his current deal at the end of the season, there are fears that he could leave for a far lower transfer fee.
