It is very clear that Celtic have not been anywhere near the mark this season. With 10IAR up for grabs, the club had a chance to make history. Instead, they have failed to win a single trophy this season.

This will be hugely disappointing for a club that has done nothing but win over the past decade or so. It was a few months earlier that they completed an incredible Quadruple Treble. But now, they find themselves without any chance of silverware after being knocked out from the Scottish Cup by the Rangers, who have already won the Premiership title as well.

It is clear that the club will need to make changes. But the magnitude of the task at hand is incredible when you think about it, especially if the intention is to challenge for titles next season.

As reported by the Daily Record, John Hartson told Premier Sports:

"“Scott Brown is leaving the football club, Peter Lawwell is leaving after many years, and Celtic at this moment in time are still searching for a manager. There’s not even a manager in place. In terms of players leaving, who is coming and going, who is making those big decisions?“There are players at Celtic on loan, there are players out on loan, the two big players Edouard and Ajer will probably leave the club, Christie has one year left.“A this moment in time there is so much work to be done staff wise and personal player wise.”"

How long will it take Celtic to turn things around?

This is certainly a question that needs to be asked at this point of time, after how this season has turned out.

We all know that there will be changes at the club. But with all those changes, it will be a bit of a transitional season next time around. And it would be wrong to expect whoever the next manager to come in and deliver results immediately with a very different group of players, a lot of whom will probably be new to the Scottish game.

So how long will it take for the Hoops to turn this around and return to the top of Scottish football? That remains to be seen and will depend on the decisions that the club take over the course of the next several months. Right ones could mean that they are back challenging for the Premiership soon, while wrong ones will make things even more difficult going forward.
