Patryk Klimala appears to be closing in on a switch to MLS giants New York Red Bulls and the striker has reportedly jetted out to complete the move. The Polish star has had a difficult time at Celtic ever since joining from Jagiellonia Bialystok for a transfer fee believed to be around £3.5 million.
It is safe to say that he failed to nail down a spot in the starting XI for the club. According to stats from Transfermarkt, the striker managed just 3 goals in 24 appearances this season.
But it is worth pointing out that he has played just 580 minutes of combined football over those appearances and his return of a goal in every 193 minutes is not bad.
Despite that, it looks like Celtic could be set to recoup the transfer fee that they shelled out to bring him to Parkhead in the first place. As reported by the Glasgow Times, the transfer fee the Hoops will receive for his departure will come to around €4 million with add-ons.

Celtic are expected to have a very different attack next season
While no official announcement has been made yet regarding a deal for Klimala, it is expected to be confirmed once he completes his medical.
His departure means that the Hoops could have a very different look attack next season. While the Polish striker appears on the verge of an exit, both Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths have been linked with moves away from the club in recent months as well.
Edouard will have only a year left on his current contract at the end of this season. As a result, it is expected that the club will let him leave this summer.
Griffiths, on the other hand, has been out of form this season. And with the massive rebuild set to take place at Parkhead over the course of the next few months, he could be on the way out as well.
