Celtic are expected to undergo a massive overhaul over the course of the next few months. There is no hiding from the fact that the club have endured a disappointing season which saw them lose the chance to make history by winning the 10IAR, as the Rangers won the Premiership comfortably with six games to spare.
Now, the focus must be on the future. And if the club are to return to the top of Scottish football once again, changes will need be made. And to be honest, they have already begun.
Peter Lawwell is set to retire after 17 years at the club and will replaced by the incoming Dominic McKay. A new manager is expected to arrive, with a Director of Football appointment being rumoured for quite some time as well.
Long-time captain Scott Brown is set to leave as well after 14 brilliant years at the club. And could the club allow another veteran in the form of Leigh Griffiths leave too. Chris Sutton would not be surprised if that was the case. He wrote in his Daily Record column:
"A decision will need to be made about Leigh Griffiths but I don’t think anyone would be surprised to see him being allowed to go."

Could Griffiths be on his way out of Celtic?
It is believed that Celtic have the option to extend Griffiths’ contract for another year or he could be a free agent at the end of this season.
There is no doubt that when on form, he is still a brilliant striker. He showed that not too long ago when he put in some incredible performances in the second half of the 2019/2020 season before the global pandemic brought the campaign to an end. But unfortunately, those displays have not carried into the current campaign.
According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has scored 6 goals and provided 2 assists in 21 appearances this season. But despite this, he has been linked with the likes of Aberdeen and Hibernian in the recent past and there should not be a lack of suitors if the Scot does end up leaving Parkhead in the near future.
