A number of Celtic stars are expected to head for the Parkhead exit in the summer as the club face a massive rebuild over the course of the next months. And one club that has been mentioned on multiple occasions as a possible destination is Leicester City.
Perhaps it is not surprising though. Leicester City are currently managed by Brendan Rodgers, who had a spectacular run at Parkhead although the manner of his departure, in the middle of the season, did leave a bad taste in the mouths of a lot of the fans.
He does know a lot of the club’s players very well though and naturally, has been linked with making moves for them. Names like Callum McGregor and Odsonne Edouard have cropped up regularly in the past.
And now, as reported by Eurosport, Kristoffer Ajer is being linked with a move to The Foxes as well.

Ajer is expected to leave Celtic at the end of the season
Ajer is one of a number of players whose contract will have only a year left at the end of the current season. As a result, it looks very likely that they will head for the Parkhead exit in the summer.
Ajer has been one of the most consistent performers in this team this season but it is expected that he will leave at the end of the campaign. And when or if that happens, there should not be a lack of suitors for the Norwegian international.
Is it Leicester City that he ultimately ends up at though? That remains to be seen.
The Hoops will need to find a replacement for a player of the quality of Ajer though. And with Shane Duffy’s loan stay also coming to an end and Christopher Jullien out with an injury for the foreseeable future, the club might need to sign some centre-backs of their own in the summer.
