It is safe to say that Celtic have not managed to replace Kieran Tierney till now. The Scottish international went on to join Arsenal in the 2019 summer transfer window for a transfer fee reported to be around £25 million.
And although he has had a couple of injury issues since then, he has still been a spectacular signing on the part of Arsenal. On the other hand, the Hoops have signed the likes of Boli Bolingoli, Greg Taylor and brought Diego Laxalt on loan from AC Milan but none of them have been able to fill the void at left-back.
Tierney has played 32 games this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 4 assists. He has also already won the FA Cup and the Community Shield during his time at the club. And the left-back is easily one of the best players at the club right now.
Barry Ferguson believes that Arsenal should try to get him to sign a new contract soon because other top clubs from around England and Europe could be looking at him. While speaking on The Go Radio Football Show and as reported by Glasgow Times, he said:
"“There was no doubt that he was going to move to the Premier League, but he’s gone down to Arsenal and gone up a couple of levels.“As I mentioned before, Arsenal will need to think about getting him tied down on a new contract or the top clubs in England – now, Arsenal are a top club there’s no doubt about it but I’m talking Man City, Man United, or even the top clubs in Europe – if he continues to play like that they’ll be looking at him, believe me when I say that.”"

Tierney leaving Arsenal could provide Celtic a cash boost
It is very possible that Tierney could leave Arsenal in the future. A lot of players in the recent past have done well for the club and then sealed moves away. Could Tierney be next?
After his impressive performances for The Gunners, if he does depart the club, it is most probably going to be for a transfer fee higher than the £25 million that they signed him for, a couple of summers back. That could be good news for the Hoops.
Celtic are believed to have a sell-on clause up to 15% on whatever profit Arsenal end up making from a future transfer for the Scot. That could turn out to be a significant amount if Tierney does end up getting a massive move one day.
