After enduring a difficult season that saw them lose the title race to the Rangers with six games to spare and the chance to complete a historic 10IAR, Celtic are expected to appoint a new manager in the summer in their quest to bounce back from the recent disappointments and return to the top of Scottish football once again.
A wide variety of names have been linked with the Parkhead job in recent months. But over the past few days, it was starting to look like Roy Keane was emerging as the favourite to be appointed in the summer.
Things have quickly taken another turn though. Rumours broke out last night that Eddie Howe was in Glasgow. And although these could not be confirmed, he has once again emerged as many bookies’ odds-on favourite to get the job as reported by The Scottish Sun.
Multiple other managers like John Kennedy, Chris Wilder, Enzo Maresca and the aforementioned Keane are also in the running.

Who will be the next Celtic manager?
At this point of time, it is impossible to guess who will ultimately be appointed by the club. Every week some new rumour breaks out and things take a fresh turn.
Thus, it would be wise to just sit back and wait for a decision to be made. But if it turned out to be Howe after all, not many fans will probably complain about it.
Howe was extremely highly rated during his time in England, after guiding Bournemouth from League Two to the Premier League in a short span of time and then keeping them in one of the most competitive leagues in the world for five years.
Thus, there is no doubt that he is a brilliant manager. And if he did get the Celtic job, he could possibly guide them back to the top of Scottish football.
