Celtic currently have a number of players out on loan as most of them were struggling for minutes. And while some have managed to make the spell away from Parkhead count, others have failed to shine at their loan club. As a result, they look likely to head back to the Glasgow giants at the end of the season.
One such player is Olivier Ntcham. The Frenchman joined Marseille on loan in the winter transfer window but has failed to make his mark till now.
In 5 appearances for the Ligue 1 side in all competitions, he is yet to register a goal or an assist. And although Marseille are believed to have the option to make the deal permanent for a transfer fee of around £4.5 million, it is looking more and more likely that they will not take up that option.
According to La Provence and as reported by Daily Record, it appears that a return to Celtic at the end of the campaign is taking shape for Ntcham.

Ntcham has fallen down the pecking order at Celtic in recent seasons
Not too long ago, Ntcham was one of the most highly rated players at Parkhead. In fact, the club had reportedly even knocked back a transfer bid of around £13 million from FC Porto for the Frenchman back in 2018.
Since then, things have not gone as planned for Ntcham though. While he has always been considered as one of the most technically gifted players at the club, he has not been able to make much of an impact in the first-team for quite some time now. As a result, he had fallen down the pecking order before moving to Marseille.
But unfortunately, things have not worked out there till now either. And as of now, it does look like he will be headed back to the Hoops at the end of the current season.
