The biggest talk surrounding Celtic right now is regarding their next manager. Neil Lennon stepped down from his role in the middle of a disappointing campaign, leaving John Kennedy in interim charge of the team.
While there were early suggestions that Kennedy could be handed the role on a permanent basis if the performances and results improved, it is looking very likely that a new manager will be brought in soon.
Dermot Desmond had an interview with the official Celtic website yesterday where he answered questions and issues raised by the supporters. And he assured them that the process of selecting a new manager is underway.
Journalist Peter Martin believes though that Desmond has already got his man. While speaking on PLZ Soccer (26:20), he said:
"“I think he’s got his man. I think he knows who he is.”"

Have Celtic already got their man?
It will be interesting to see who the club end up appointing at the end of the day. A number of names have been linked with the job and some of them could be very interesting if given the role.
Rafa Benitez, Eddie Howe, Chris Wilder, Frank Lampard, Roy Keane, Steve Clarke, Jesse Marsch, are just some of the names that have done the rounds over the past few months. And to be honest, a number of them could end up doing a great job at Parkhead.
But it is also very possible that the club appoint someone completely out of left field, that nobody sees coming. Thus, the only thing we can do at this point of time is wait and see who the manager ultimately is, whenever that ends up being announced.
For the time being though, the focus should be on the current season. Although it has been a disappointing campaign, there is still the Scottish Cup to play for. And failing to win that will see the club go trophyless for the first time since 2009/10.
