While Celtic have endured a nightmare campaign, the same cannot be said about Jack Hendry. The Scottish international failed to break into the first-team under Neil Lennon during his time at Parkhead and as a result, was sent out on loan to Belgian side KV Oostende at the beginning of the season.
It is safe to say that his spell in Belgium has been an incredible success till now. He has thrived at KV Oostende and as a result, has earned him a call up to the Scotland national team once again after a long absence.
There have also been talks about him joining the Belgian side at the end of the season. They do have the option to make the loan deal permanent if they can agree terms with the player.
And while he did not give too much of an insight into his future, it does sound like he feels that he can thrive at a club like Celtic if he is provided the opportunity once again. As reported Four Four Two, Hendry said:
"“First and foremost, you have got to look at yourself, and what you could have done better.“There are obviously external factors that might come into play. But I am just looking forward now.“I have learned from it and I feel if I was to get an opportunity of that stature again, I would be ready to thrive in an environment like that.”"

Does Hendry have a future at Celtic?
Naturally, the youngster was not ready to commit one way or the other, and kept his options open regarding his future. At this point, he could end up at KV Oostende or remain at Celtic, depending on what happens in the summer.
But the fact that he says that he would be ready this time around if provided an opportunity suggests that he is open to and perhaps even willing to give his Parkhead career another try, which is promising.
It will probably depend on whether the club can give him assurances about first-team opportunities. And to be very honest, he does deserve another chance to prove himself in the Hoops after how well he has done while away on loan.
