After a disappointing season that saw them lose the Premiership title race to the Rangers with six games to spare despite 10IAR being on the line, it is expected that Celtic will make a number of changes over the course of the summer as they aim to bounce back and return to the top of Scottish football once again.

Of course, that is not going to be easy. After all, they are staring at the prospect of a massive rebuild in the summer. A new manager is expected to brought in along with a number of new players as well in order to replace those who look set to leave. Peter Lawwell is also set to step down from his role and will be replaced by Dominic McKay.

As a result, in many ways it will be a transitional season for the Hoops. But they cannot treat it as one as there will be the pressure of delivering trophies coming off of a disappointing season.

An exciting claim has been made in this regard though. Speaking on A Celtic State of Mind and as reported by Celts Are Here, Paul John Dykes said:

"“I was speaking to someone who is close to the club and who reckons there’s going to be an incredible investment in the Celtic coaching staff and playing staff moving into next season.”"

‘Incredible investment’ would certainly excite Celtic fans

Now, this is certainly a very exciting claim and if it turns out to be accurate, then it might not be long before the club are back at the top of the Scottish game.

A number of high-profile managers have been linked with the Hoops recently but one always has to wonder whether the club would be willing to make that kind of an investment. If they are, then the sky could be the limit for the club moving forward.

It is undeniable that this has been a very disappointing campaign. But the focus should now turn towards the future and hopefully, it leads to bigger and better things for the club.
