There is no denying the fact that Celtic have had a very disappointing campaign. After winning trebles in four straight seasons, the club are in danger of ending this season without a single trophy and also failed in their quest to secure a historic 10IAR with six games to spare.
It is clear that they need to turn things around next season and bounce back. And with that aim in mind, they are expected to bring in a new manager in the summer.
Neil Lennon stepped down from his role in the middle of the season and John Kennedy is currently serving as the interim manager. But it is unlikely that he will be handed the role on a permanent basis unless both performances and results improve drastically over the next few months.
There was a lot of excitement recently about the potential next manager after Red Bull Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch admitted while speaking with BBC that it was an honour for him to be linked with Celtic.
Naturally, fans were excited by the prospect of the move taking place. But now, Christian Falk has confirmed that Marsch won’t be moving to Parkhead in the summer. He tweeted out:
"In the meantime I have received the confirmation: Jesse Marsch won‘t join #CelticFC"

Marsch is not headed to Celtic in the summer
It is not hard to see why fans would be excited by the prospect of someone like Marsch joining the club. The American has quickly established himself as one of the most promising managers in all of Europe and is doing a brilliant job at Red Bull Salzburg right now.
He has a contract till the summer of 2022 though and according to rumours, it does look like he could be headed to the Bundesliga in the future, like many former Red Bull Salzburg managers have in the recent past.
On the other hand, it appears that Celtic’s hunt for their next manager will continue for the time being, with names like Eddie Howe, Chris Wilder, Frank Lampard, Roy Keane and many others being linked with the Parkhead job.
