One complaint that Celtic fans have had with the club in recent years is that the youngsters have not gotten too many chances to prove themselves at Parkhead.
Instead, most of them have had to go out on loan in search of playing time and to be fair, a lot of them have returned as better players, who have eventually managed to find a place for themselves in the first-team. And with the number of players away on loan at the moment, they will be hoping that they can repeat the trick in the future as well.
One such promising youngster who is currently away on loan is Scott Robertson. The 19-year-old is currently at League One side Doncaster Rovers.
He has had an interesting campaign for sure. Till January, he was with Gillingham but was called back to Celtic. He did not make even an appearance during the short stop at Parkhead though and was sent out on loan to Doncaster Rovers at the end of the month. In total, the midfielder has made 29 appearances this season in all competitions, providing 3 assists in process of doing so.

The Celtic youngster suffered an injury scare recently
Robertson had to come off the pitch with an injury after just 28 minutes in the game against Northampton Town, which ultimately ended 0-0. This was his first start under interim manager Andy Butler and he ended up missing the next game against Oxford United due to the issue.
While speaking with Doncaster Free Press, Butler said:
"“Scott went to see the chiropodist and his toe was twice its normal size.“He’s had that lanced and a lot of blood came out of it.“It was just too early for Scott to face Oxford.”"
It does look like though that Robertson has managed to avoid serious injury and could even be back for the weekend trip to take on Gillingham, the club that he played the first half of the campaign for.
We would like to extend our best wishes to the youngster and hope for his speedy recovery.
