Multiple changes are expected to take place at Celtic over the course of the next few months as the club aim to return to the top of Scottish football after a disappointing campaign that saw them lose the Premiership title race to the Rangers with six games to spare.
Peter Lawwell is set to step down from his role after 17 years and will be replaced by Dominic McKay. A new manager is likely to be brought in as well along with a number of new players. Amidst all of this though, there has been talk about a Director of Football being appointed as well.
One of the names being linked with the role is that of Fergal Harkin, who is currently the Football Partnerships and Pathways Manager at Manchester City. As reported by Football Insider last week, the Hoops have already opened talks with him.
A new report from Football Insider now claims that if Harkin does get the role at Parkhead, a team of analysts and recruitment experts could follow him to Glasgow.

Is Harkin the man for the Celtic job?
Harkin has surely done a great job at Manchester City as they have been very successful in England over the past decade or so. And his experience of working at a club of that level could certainly benefit Celtic.
He is not the only one being linked with the role though. Matteo Tognozzi and David Webb appear to be in the running for the position as well and it will be interesting to see who ends up at Parkhead come next season.
One thing is for sure though, appointing a Director of Football is a massive step in the right direction for the club. And according to the report, one is set to be brought in before the Hoops decide on who the next manager will be.
