Celtic are expected to make a lot of changes in the summer as the club face a massive rebuild. After a disappointing campaign, they will be aiming to return to the top of Scottish football next season.
It will be a tricky task though as a number of players including the likes of Odsonne Edouard, Ryan Christie and Kristoffer Ajer could end up leaving the club, with a little over a year left on each of their current deals. Thus, the Hoops will need to replace these first-team stars in the summer transfer window.
One position that will be a major worry and might need immediate reinforcements is goalkeeper. Currently, the club have Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain and Conor Hazard in their ranks. But none of them have managed to nail down a spot in the first-team through the course of the season.
Thus, the Hoops might be forced to dip into the transfer market once again. And as reported by Edinburgh Live, they are monitoring the situation of Hibernian goalkeeper Ofir Marciano.

Celtic could make a move for Ofir Marciano
Marciano’s contract with Hibernian is set to run out at the end of this season and he is expected to leave when it comes to an end. As a result, he will be available on a free transfer if the Hoops do decide to make a move, although Hapoel Be’er Sheva have also been linked with the Israeli goalkeeper.
Marciano has made 27 appearances for Hibernian in the Premiership this season, conceded 23 goals and keeping 12 clean sheets. And he could prove to be the solution to the Hoops’ problems between the posts.
While the 31-year-old might end up being only a short-term fix for Celtic, he is already proven in the Premiership and could allow the club to focus on other positions that they need to improve in.
