Celtic have been linked with a number of managers over the past couple of months as they are expected to bring someone in during the summer after Neil Lennon stepped down from his role a couple of weeks earlier, leaving John Kennedy in interim charge. And unless things improve drastically over the next few months, it feels unlikely that he will be given the role on a permanent basis.
Managers like Eddie Howe, Rafa Benitez, Frank Lampard, Roberto Martinez, Roy Keane and, more recently, Chris Wilder have been linked with the Parkhead job. Another name that has been floated around on occasion though is that of Sean Dyche.
Dyche is currently the manager of Burnley, who sit at 15th in the Premier League. But if he was to leave the club, Celtic have been touted as a possible destination.
Frank McAvennie claims that Dyche could certainly do the job at Parkhead but doesn’t believe that he would come to Scotland. As reported by Football Insider, he said:
"“I think he would do well.“I think Sean would do well wherever he goes because he is an exceptional manager.“He gets labelled with playing a certain way but he does not have the budget of the other teams that are round and about him.“I do not think he would come up to Scotland though, even though he’s at Burnley. He is in a great job on a great wage. I do not think he would come up.”"

Would Dyche come to Celtic?
Dyche is one of the most highly rated managers in the Premier League right now. Ever since taking over in 2012, he has done a terrific job at Burnley.
He has won them promotion from the Championship on two different occasions and has managed to keep the side in the Premier League for five seasons now, which is a great achievement.
Questions have been raised about the suitability of his style to Celtic but it is true that he is competing with teams in the Premier League, a lot of whom have a much higher budget than that of Burnley.
Ultimately though, would he want to come to Parkhead if the opportunity presented itself in the summer? Only time will tell. It is undeniable that there is a unique pressure that comes with the job at Celtic as the team is expected to win week in, week out.
