There are expected to be major changes at Celtic over the next several months as they aim to return to the top of Scottish football after a disappointing campaign, which saw them lose the title to the Rangers with six games to spare despite 10IAR being on the line.
While a new manager and players will most likely arrive at Parkhead in the summer, changes are set to take place behind the scenes as well.
Peter Lawwell will be stepping down from his role after 17 years and will be replaced by Dominic McKay. And he is believed to be keen on bringing a director of football to the club.
Now, the position of director of football has grown in prominence over the past several years. And a number of high profile names have been linked with the club regarding it over the past few months. And as reported by Glasgow Times, Matteo Tognozzi is willing to take the role. His contract with Juventus runs till June 30.

Could Tognozzi be headed to Celtic?
Tognozzi has made quite a name for himself over the past few years. He is best known for his work at Juventus as a scout but has held recruitment roles at Bayer Leverkusen, Hamburg and Zenit St. Petersburg in the past as well.
If Celtic do manage to appoint him as the Director of Football, it would be considered as a major coup on the part of the club. Before this Tognozzi was linked with Manchester United as well.
He is not the only one who has been linked with The Hoops though. David Webb and Fergal Harkin are two others whose names have been brought up on multiple occasions. And to be honest, the club should be delighted if they manage to get any of the three, as they all come with big reputations.
