Premier League trio eyeing summer move for Celtic star

Celtic find themselves at a crossroads right now. With 10IAR up for grabs, they had held on to all their big name players despite their contracts running down.

At the time, it was certainly the right decision. But after how this season has turned out, it certainly looks like they would have been in a better place if they had done some business last summer.

One such name is that of Odsonne Edouard. The Frenchman has been the guiding light for Celtic at times, over the past years. Like most of his teammates, his form has also been shaky this season but he has managed to find his scoring boots in the last few months. And even in a campaign that can be considered underwhelming by his lofty standards, he has found the back of the net on 21 occasions.

Clearly, Edouard is very highly rated outside of Scotland as well and is the highest scorer in France under-21s history. And with him expected to leave in the summer, there surely won’t be a lack of suitors for his signature.

Arsenal, Leicester City and Aston Villa are interested in the Celtic star

As reported by Leicester Mercury, Arsenal, Leicester City and Aston Villa are all interested in Edouard, who is expected to leave in the summer with just a year left on his contract.

Arsenal already know how well Celtic players can do in the Premier League, having signed Kieran Tierney a couple of summers back. And since then, he has been one of the best players in their team. Thus, it is no surprise that The Gunners want the French striker as well.

On the other hand, Leicester City and Aston Villa have both shown brilliant progress this season and would be looking to take their game to the next level. In that aim, a striker as prolific as Edouard wouldn’t hurt.

The Hoops were believed to be looking for a transfer fee of around £40 million last summer for the Frenchman but now, they might have to satisfied for something around half that.
