This 10IAR season promised to be a historic one for Celtic but has turned out to be more of a transitional one instead. And the next one promises to be more of the same as well, with the club expected to undergo a massive overhaul in the summer.

Peter Lawwell is set to retire from his role at the end of this campaign and Neil Lennon will most probably be shown the exit door as well after the season that the Hoops have endured under his management.

They won’t be the only ones on their way out though. A number of important players like Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie have been linked with moves away from Parkhead as well, while the likes of Jeremie Frimpong, Olivier Ntcham and Hatem Abd Elhamed have already departed. Thus, it is clear that a number of new faces will be at Celtic come the next season.

One of those could be Aston Villa’s 19-year-old starlet Tyreik Wright, who is currently on loan at Walsall. As reported by the Daily Mail, Celtic are keeping tabs on him.

Celtic could make a shrewd move by signing Wright

While the Hoops will need to bring in some experience if they are planning to return to the pinnacle of Scottish football next season, at the moment it looks like they are concentrating on getting deals done for some highly-rated youngsters down South.

Wright looks like a real prospect. Since joining League Two side Walsall, he has provided 2 assists already in just 133 minutes of action. Before that, he was impressing for Aston Villa’s under-23 side, for whom he provided 2 goals and 3 assists this season in Premier League 2 and the EFL Trophy.

There is certainly huge potential in the youngster, which is the reason Everton are also interested in signing him. Celtic do need to add a right-winger to their squad as well, which could open up a spot for Wright to come in and immediately be a part of the first-team squad, as a possible understudy to James Forrest.
