While Neil Lennon continues to be adamant that he has no plans of stepping down as Celtic manager, you would have to think that sooner or later he will be replaced, especially after the performances that the club have put in under him this season, costing them their shot at 10IAR.
It will most probably happen at the end of this season. With Peter Lawwell retiring from his role then, the club have probably decided to let incoming Dominic McKay start with a clean slate instead of picking a long-term manager now.
When the managerial change does happen, the board must make sure that they make an ambitious pick this time around. Someone who can clean up the mess the club currently finds itself in and quickly re-establish the Hoops as the Scottish champions.
Lennon’s appointment was always viewed as a bad choice by many fans and the club cannot afford to make the same mistake once again.

John Kennedy now favourite to replace Neil Lennon at Celtic
Names like Rafa Benitez and Eddie Howe have been suggested in the past and they will surely be inspired appointments. And for all his detractors, Frank Lampard would not be the worst option in the world either. He did quite well at Chelsea until their untimely collapse this season.
One name that nobody would probably want though is current assistant manager John Kennedy. Yet he has been installed as the bookies favourite to replace Lennon alongside Benitez as reported by Vital Football. Howe is at third while Lampard sits at fourth.
That would be quite a shocking choice, especially considering the part that Kennedy has played in this failed campaign. We have speculated in the past that the board would have gone this route if they had managed to secure 10IAR, but now, the picture has changed quite drastically.
