Neil Lennon’s future has been a matter of discussion among Celtic fans for quite some time now. After all, the club has completely collapsed in their quest for 10IAR this season and something must give sooner or later.
The board was supposed to evaluate the managerial situation in January before deciding Lennon’s Parkhead future. But if that has happened, it is hard to see how the Northern Irishman has survived the sack.
After all, the Hoops have not won this year. In their four games in 2021 till now, they have drawn three and lost one. Another disastrous run of form in a season that has been full of them.
Yet, Lennon came out to announce that Jeremie Frimpong was on the verge of leaving for the Bundesliga. This was an absolute bombshell after what had been an eventless January transfer window till now.

This is a clear hint that Neil Lennon will remain at Celtic
Would the club let someone like Frimpong leave if they had an immediate plans to bring in a new manager though? The youngster was a regular feature in the first-team and despite all the criticism he has received for the defensive side of his game, he will clearly be hard to replace, especially in January.
If someone like Eddie Howe or Rafa Benitez were even close to coming in, they would surely demand that the club keep the squad together so that they can assess the players themselves before making any transfer decisions.
Thus, it does look like Lennon will be the man in charge till the end of the season. Then, you can probably expect the board to hit the refresh button and bring in a new manager. And do not be surprised if they fill in Frimpong’s void with someone on a six-month loan till then.
