Rangers fans had a meltdown as Neil Doncaster refused to rule out the possibly of a ‘Null and Void’ if the season is indeed called off.
Celtic fans have not had a lot to be cheerful about this season. The Hoops have suffered through a disastrous 10IAR campaign and it is more than likely that the Rangers will lift the title come May.
It was a bit of a rare opportunity to have a good laugh though seeing the rival fans having a meltdown when Neil Doncaster refused to rule out the possibility of the season being declared ‘Null and Void’ if it was forced to be called off.
Now, most of us will remember how the Rangers fans were desperate to get the previous campaign called off when play was suspended due to the global pandemic. Back then, 30 games had been played though. Right now, we are just past the halfway mark.
Of course, some of them appear to have short memories:
@ClydeSSB the desperation from Celtics fans is pretty embarrassing that, almost as bad as there club at the moment. If you remember rightly, Rangers wanted the season to finish last season NOT null and void. Scottish football would bankrupt itself if season was cancelled.

We have to wonder whether Alex Rae would agree:

To be very honest, the season should not be declared null and void. And the best thing would be for it to be played through. Even if play is suspended once again, we have seen the Premier League complete their season last time around after returning. And the same should happen in Scotland if the situation called for it.
Most of the comments that Celtic fans are making right now are tongue in cheek and a good opportunity to pull up some old tweets that the same Rangers fans had made not too long ago.
The most important thing right now is of course the health of everybody. And if that demands for football to be suspended for some time then so be it. But it is entirely possible to eventually complete the season instead of taking any decisions this early.
